I hardly ever post anything personal on my blog, but I am really going to try to make an effort to do more in the future. With working full time and owning a photography business, I rarely have the free time to do "non-photography" posts. So I decided to share a few pictures from this year's Thanksgiving and also pictures from the Iron Bowl party that Ryan and I hosted at our home for friends and family. We are so thankful for the wonderful family and friends that we have, and love spending holidays with them! :-)

Kelly + Mike: Joe Wheeler State Park Resort Lodge

I have to say Kelly and Mike's wedding is one of my favorites thus far in my photography career. They were married Saturday, October 22nd at Joe Wheeler State Park Resort Lodge in Rogersville, Alabama. The weather could not have been more perfect! This wedding wasn't just one of my favorites because of the location and details, but because of the couple. I can't put into words how awesome these two are together. They met on myspace 7 years ago and Kelly moved all the way from Maryland to be with Mike in Florence, Alabama! Watching these two interact with each other, and with their friends and family was so awesome, you can really see how much they care for each other and those closest to them. They are both graphic artists, so the details for this wedding were awesome and so unique to fit their personalities! I also loved that Kelly incorporated lace from her Mother's wedding dress into her bridal flower. We also set up a "photo booth" outside the reception, and got some really awesome pictures from that, and I will post those later on this week :-)

The gorgeous flowers were created by Kaleidoscope Florist and Design, the cakes by Sugar on Top, music by NA DJ & Sound, and videography by Chris Anderson of Up Down Media. Also, thanks so much to Amy Carson and Deborah Akers McGrane for assisting me with Mike and Kelly's wedding!! :-)

Kelsey + Clint - Ross Bridge Golf Resort Wedding

I had the honor of shooting Kelsey and Clint's wedding at Ross Bridge Golf Resort in Hoover, Alabama on this past Saturday, September 10th and I have to say this was my favorite wedding of the year! I had so much fun shooting their engagement portraits this past April at the beach (seen here and here).

This gorgeous couple set aside 1.5 hours for me to do portraits of just the two of them so we got a lot of really awesome shots! I wish I had that much time with every bride and groom to do portraits, it was so much fun exploring Ross Bridge on a golf cart with this sweet couple! :-)

I have to give props to the best man, his speech was hilarious and I hope someone got it on video! Thanks so much to Mallory Wilkins for the event planning and floral design, it was awesome! My favorite, Diane Olexa provided the wedding cake and it was beautiful! Once again the staff at Ross Bridge was wonderful and I hope to shoot there many more times in the future! :-)

Kaitlyn + Jay - Ross Bridge Golf Resort Wedding

Kaitlyn and Jay had a gorgeous wedding at Ross Bridge Golf Resort on September 3rd, 2011. The beautiful flowers were done by Three Things Floral and the cake was provided by one of my all time favorites, Diane Olexa of Olexa's. Total Entertainment did an awesome job keeping everyone moving on the dance floor and provided a fun photo booth! The entire staff at Ross Bridge did an amazing job, I hope to shoot there many more times in the future! :-)

Brittney and Jake had a small beach wedding in Florida a few weeks ago, but decided to have another reception in town so that more family and friends could help them celebrate their marriage. The wedding reception was held at the gorgeous American Village in Montevallo, Alabama. The celebration was held in the barn and I loved the country theme and all of the details! Plus, it doesn't hurt when you have an awesome couple like Brittney and Jake who are so photogenic and know how to dance!
